ABOUT WADAIKO HIRYU
- WADAIKO HIRYU was founded by “MINEHIDE” , a Wadaiko drummer in 1998. It is a rare wadaiko group who uses the oldest instrument in Japan and challenge the newest style of performance. MINEHIDE is an also classical Japanese dancer and he produces a stylistic beauty which is a tradition of Japan. Then HIRYU performers add modern element and finally create dramatic music, artistic and high-performance stage which go beyond mere traditional performing arts in Japan.
